Aquarium Tips
LOCATION AND LIGHT
THE best location for your aquarium is in front of or close to a window, where the sun will shine on it for at least a few hours daily. Sunlight is beneficial, although not necessary, if you have electrically lighted hoods or top reflectors. W/ithout sunlight, several hours of artificial light are needed daily to stimulate plant growth and keep the aquarium balanced.
Since this is the latest book on the market, we must mention the latest advance made in aquarium lighting.
The fluorescent light has invaded the aquarium field with amazing results. For plant growth and reflecting the beauty of your fish, it is a revelation. This long bulb (equipped with a transformer that cuts the light bill in half) throws a soft blue-white light to every corner of the aquarium, causing the plants to grow vigorously and the fish to reflect opalescent tints that are a joy to behold.
